It's difficult to describe how much we love Hera. But you who have had the good fortune to share your lives with a Great Dane, will understand.

Her loyalty, unconditional love and soulfull eyes. Her ability to know just when we need a resting Great Dane head placed faithfully on our shoulder. How calming it is to see her resting in the sun, enjoying life to the fullest extent. How she raises her eye-brow, wrinkling her forehead in a question "what - are you talking to me?" as she continues to help herself to seconds from our dining-room table.

We've had so much fun together. Hera has really been a joy to share our life with. We're so proud and humbled by all the things we have experienced together.

Farwell our dear girl, we will miss you, deeply.
